What happens when this card's [Opponent's Turn] effect replaces a "by choosing 5 digivolution cards of this Digimon and trashing them" effect?
You choose and trash 5 digivolution cards of this card. If you were able to choose and trash 5 digivolution cards after the replacement, the condition will be met. You can't meet the "by" condition by performing just some of the actions, therefore the condition won't be met if you trash less than the specified number of cards, such as when you trash 4 cards.
