As a result, along with EX2-070 [Digivolution Plug-In S], this card limits the options for future designs of level 7 Digimon that can digivolve from yellow cards. For the above reasons, we've decided to restrict this card to 1 copy.

No, it doesn't trigger. If an Option card's effect activates without using it, such as activation by a [Security] effect or <Delay>, the "when you use an Option card" effect doesn't trigger.
