Using this card's inherited effect, I select three cards from my trash, including a Digi-Egg card. When returning the Digi-Egg card to the deck, I place it on the bottom of the Digi-Egg deck, according to the rules. Does this satisfy the effect's "by doing X" conditions?

No, they are not immediately deleted at this point in time. All activated effects are resolved, after which a rule check occurs. At that point in time, all Digimon with 0 DP are deleted simultaneously.
